Design Auction
Once again, unique design items will be sold in the evening of 25 September at the Design Auction, an entertaining event hosted by Hannes Võrno. Renowned designers as well as design students will sell their products with low initial prices. Proceeds of the auction will be donated to a charity fund which, in previous years, has financed the studies of Estonian design students in foreign countries.
In 2009 the initial prices ranged from EEKÂ 10 (for a mechanic bird) to EEKÂ 22,000 (for a reconstructed crystal chandelier).
We are hoping to publish the main catalogue on our website a week before the auction, but there are usually also surprise participants. Last year the auction proved so popular that this time several designers have promised to present items created specifically for the event.
