“X kilos of gold†exhibition by Marje Taska
This exhibition is about gold. About gold and earth. And a little about alchemy as well The installation "X kilos of gold" is in fact 52.1 kilos of "gold". It is the result of the inner reflections and handiwork of Estonian and Swedish contributors. The gold bullions all look the same on the outside, but when we lift them we find a microcosmos there, i.e. different peoples` interpretation of what gold is in their lives. On the balcony you will find the verbal installation "Aurum et Solium". 30 people from different strata of society in Estonia and Sweden have answered the questions: "What does gold mean to you? What does soil mean to you?"
