Monika Järg’s and Stella Soomlais’ exhibition “Gourmetâ€
Stella Soomlais is a young leather and accessories designer, who pays a lot of attention to (multi) functionality in her works and whose details are always carefully thought through. Stella is fascinated by geometric simplicity and the minimalist style. The leather bag collection displayed at the exhibition leaves room for different interpretations and playful discoveries for the user.Â
The textile designer Monika Järg continues her work on close examination of experiments with materials. Embroidery is linked with wood, porcelain and clay in the form of walls, bowls and benches. By combining materials in unexpected ways, new forms and details are created. Using textile guarantees that the exhibits evoke emotions both from afar and near, through inspecting and touching. Monika’s embroidery patterns have also found their way onto the insides of Stella’s bags.Â
Stella Soomlais and Monika Järg share a studio in the Estonian Design House. “Gourmet†is their first joint exhibition.
