Jewellery of õhuLoss in the Northern Lighthouse
Works of six authors are displayed at the Põhjatuletorn – Kadri Mälk, Piret Hirv, Villu Plink, Eve Margus-Villems, Tanel Veenre and Kristiina Laurits. The exhibition is part of the capital of culture Tallinn 2011 programme and it is the first time the works by the members of õhuLoss (“spatialPalaceâ€) are exhibited in Tallinn. The same group of designers have presented their works together in the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Germany and China. After the exhibition in Tallinn, õhuLoss travels to France and Italy. In the Tallinn Põhjatuletorn, more than a hundred pieces of jewellery are presented with the accompanying music created by Janek Murd especially for the occasion. The exhibition ends on September 25 with a “finissage†at 16-19 as a part of the Design Night festival where the artists are present in the lighthouse to open up the worlds hidden behind their jewellery. Furthermore, during the exhibition, a 300-page book is published on the works of the õhuLoss artists. The publisher and international distributor of the book is the German art books publisher Arnoldsche Art Publishers.Â
