Pecha Kucha
Design Night Festival invites you to make a presentation or participate at the Pecha Kucha 20 slides x 20 seconds event on 23 September.
Pecha Kucha (Japanese for ‘sound of conversation’) is an event where creative people can make short presentations to show their new achievements, exchange ideas and establish new contacts in a cosy atmosphere. Pecha Kucha Night was devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (Klein-Dytham Architecture). The first event was held in Tokyo in 2003. Today Pecha Kucha Nights have already been hosted in 351 cities.
At the Pecha Kucha Night in Tallinn presentations will be made by designers, architects and other ‘carriers’ of creative messages from Portugal, Poland and Estonia. Each of the dozen presenters has 6 minutes and 40 seconds to explain their ideas and show 20 PowerPoint slides. The event will be moderated by Priit Juurmann from Estonian Centre of Architecture, who will later perform as DJ Julm, filling the Design Night Club with music.
Registration for Pecha Kucha is still open: priit@arhitektuurikeskus.ee.
Please upload your PowerPoint presentations by 20 September.Â
