Saint-Etienne Design: Creative Design City for All

Cities today are confronted by numerouschallenges. Starting from globalization, ending with competitiveness andrelative attraction. They must adopt different strategies to ensure theirdevelopment, and design plays an active role in it. Towns are also sought afterfor their particular character and identity, for the quality of their urbanlandscapes and cultural effervescence.

Within this context, Saint-Etienne invented thenew driving forces to its development relying on the creativity of a pioneerterritory and using an exceptional tool: theCité du design.  In the exhibition a visitor can have a look to city’s5 dimensions: UNESCO design city, green & sustainable, designlaboratory, creation & innovation, design & health.
