Services of Tomorrow: What’s next?
On September 23, the first Estonian international service design conference “Services of Tomorrow: What’s Next?†is held in the Estonian State and Puppet Theatre. The conference glimpses into the future of services and explores the possibilities of how to develop services in a different and amore effective way. Global economy is shifting from producing items to offering services. Right now, services form 60% of Estonian economy. Thus, services are important. How to guarantee that the service that is provided to the client is good enough? A debate between Göte Nyman, professor of psychology at the University of Helsinki, and Reima Rönholm who is a service designeris held during the conference. Furthermore, an expert in sustainable design and educator Alastair Fuad-Luke from Britain is concentrating on the services provided by the public sector in his speech and the member of the board of Tallinn Airport Erik Sakkov and Sirle Arro who is the business manager of the Port of Tallinn are talking about how cooperationin the private sector can be used to develop services.
