The Uncovering Meaningful Design conference consists of three parts during which interrelated topics regarding design will be discussed. 

The first topic will focus on changes in society. What are the most urgent issues that design needs to consider? The ageing population, environmental and sustainability issues along with democratic platforms are a few other examples what will be addressed. Also, we will introduce and discuss insight on the ground breaking research that is being carried out worldwide. 

In the second topic we will be looking at how design can achieve by addressing and adapting to change. Some of the trends are crowd sourcing, interdisciplinary approaches and designing a full life cycle of a product or beyond the product as a material fact. 

The final topic will discuss fashion design in this light of transformation. What are the new challenges along with opportunities arising for the fashion industry. We will also hear some fascinating individual stories and ideas from the designers themselves.
