“D.E.S.I.G.N.†is a novel children’s book about the most widely spread and least valued art form – design.Â
“D.E.S.I.G.N.†is a short history of design – a gripping overview of 69 most interesting pieces of home objects of the last 150 years, ranging from the classical to the craziest pieces like a bed shaped like a boxing rink, chandelier with doodles on it or a mirror with a skeleton. Most of them are design icons created by famous designers ranging from Le Corbusier to Philippe Starck. The book (and the exhibition in Tallinn) includes pieces of home furniture by the following Polish designers - Oskar Zięta, Anna Kotowicz-Puszkarewicz, Artur Puszkarewicz, Agata Kulik-Pomorska, Paweł Pomorski, Magdalena Lubińska and Michał Kopaniszyn.
The simple and witty descriptions, colourful anecdotes and even more vivid illustrations of “D.E.S.I.G.N.†entertain, make you wonder which make you more sensitive towards the aesthetics and form of the objects around you. This is a book for everyone!

Ewa Solarz’s book (publishing house
GECKO PRESS) is presented during the international Design Night festival in Tallinn, in the gallery of the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre (Pikk 73) where the illustrations of
Aleksandra and Daniel Mizieliński and the books designed by them and published by the publishing house
“Dwie Siostry†are displayed.
The official opening of the festival display takes place at 14.00 at September 26. The exhibition consists of works by renowned Polish designers, including the rug DIA which looks like a massive paper snowflake, MAZZY wall colouring book and the MALFOR tree stump table. In short, the exhibition displays the most common pieces of non-everyday home furniture. Come and check it out!
