In the design circles, autumn has for years been associated with Design Night festival, which is turning nine this year, but this autumn, the leading Estonian design boutique Nu Nordik is also celebrating its twelfth birthday. This means that it is the first design shop selling contemporary local design which was launched in the reindependent Estonian republic to reach this milestone.Â
During the festival, design friends can come together and celebrate Nu Nordik’s approaching birthday.
Even its location is legendary – Nu Nordik is situated on the Vabaduse väljak (Freedom Square) in the building which belongs to the Estonian Artists’ Association. The works of members of the Estonian Artists’ Association, students and lecturers are sold in the shop.Â
