Swing (“kiik†in Estonian) combines the formats of contemporary art and urban city furniture. Swing deals conceptually with the notion of freedom and the problems of taking other people into consideration but it is also a simple and playful element which generates social activity between friends and strangers in the urban space.Â
Up to 5 people can swing at the same time. Collision (interaction) between the swingers is inevitable based on whether the swinging is coordinated or not. On the conceptual level, it invites people to think of the public and personal decision processes which take place in the society. The swingers can decide whether all the participants have equal opportunities or give some of them an advantage.Â
Swing is welded of brushed stainless steel. The gross weight of the swing is about 500 kg which excludes the possibility of it tipping over.Â
