Toivo Raidmets’s personal exhibition displays 12 chairs from his recent works. Chairs hold a special place in his career as a designer. A chair is a challenge – a complicated and most interesting puzzle.

There are actually only a few elements that should be considered when designing a chair – comfort, rationality of manufacture and the use of material as well as the aesthetic side. Nevertheless, it is not easy to keep all this in mind. The last one – the aesthetics – usually appears on its own when all the previous criteria are met. Thus, Toivo Raidmets’s work experience from the furniture factories “Standard” and “Tarmeko” have proven to be invaluable for achieving this.
