This year`s summer exhibition on the historical Tallinn city wall which connects the Munkadetagune and Hellemann Tower is Another You by David Muoz who is a Mexican artist residing in Helsinki. We exhibit his kitchenware set Dystopic Common Extensions and his fine art series Trinitarianism.

David Muoz was born in Mexico in 1979, graduated from the National University of Mexico and continued his studies at the Aalto University in Helsinki where he will start his doctoral studies this autumn.
The works by David Muoz try to dismantle cultural symbols and stereotypes and he consistently develops his ideas on the themes of culture, subculture and history which are reflected in his works.

By playfully feeling the boundaries between myth and reality, his art breaks and then reconstructs conventions. Muoz`s aim is to make the viewers analyse themselves – to show how everyone of us creates their own personal narratives by decoding, interpreting and contextualising the overabundance of images which surrounds us and which forms our social memory. He draws our attention to the fact that interpreting is not only a subjective act but also one which reflects on and reveals facets of itself (the viewer).
