The follow-up exhibition DESIGNERS’ FACE BOOK which is displayed during the Design Night festival in the Estonian Academy of Arts continues to introduce the members of the Estonian Association of Designers (EDL). Ülar Linnuste portrays the designers who are also his colleagues and introduces their works. Every portrait of a designer is supplemented with a brief introduction of his/her works. The posters are supplied with QR codes which direct your smart phone to the designer’s, their company’s or EDL webpage which enables the visitors to delve deeper and take a look at several works by the designers displayed at the exhibition. 

 

This year, last year’s pieces are accompanied by new webpages. The aim of the poster exhibition is to promote the designer profession and provide an overview of how every single one of us is daily consuming design. Despite that, we usually do not know who has created one or another product. To be perfectly honest, the designers themselves are not always familiar with the works of their colleagues.

This endeavour will hopefully also bring together the designers from different generations. The new additions to the exhibition add younger and active colleagues to the face book alongside the older and middle generation.
