Panel discussion - cooperation with businesses in design education

The discussion is held between people who are interested in design education to try and find answers to the following questions:
- What type of designers does the Estonian business sector need?
- What does the entrepreneur expect from a designer? How to facilitate trust towards the designer among Estonian entrepreneurs?
- How to bring design students closer to the process of production and how to make entrepreneurs more interested in students’ design projects?
- What is lacking in Estonian design education and what more do students expect form their education providers?
- If a young designer who has just graduated from the university wants to establish his/her own company then what kinds of companies are needed on the Estonian business scene?
- Should design schools organise training courses for business managers?
The panel discussion is aimed at students, lecturers and entrepreneurs but everyone who wishes to have a say in the matter is welcome. |
