The itinerant exhibition of the annual awards organised by the Estonian Society for Interior Architects (ESL) provides an overview of last year’s noteworthy interior design solutions, original exhibitions and striking designs in Estonia.
The display presents the witty and surprising design solution “Parliament Building 90†and the jolly playing ground in the children’s section of Tallinna Kaubamaja. From the awarded solutions, the exhibition includes the interior architectural solutions of Narva College and Baltic Film and Media School which are considered to be real architectural treats. It is also advisable to visit the treasury in the UT History Museum which creates the impression of a fabulous golden cave and was also one of the laureates of the competition. Among other things, the display also includes the jolly Maarjamäe castle exhibition “Here We Are! The First Century of Estonian Film†and the fantastic interiors of the Tallinn TV Tower and the Seaplane Harbour which many people have already seen themselves. Furthermore, the exhibition features novel urban furniture, a witty pop-up shop, a nightclub fit for a metropolis and other works which belong to the crème of the crop of interior architecture in Estonia in 2012. Visitors can purchase the ESL yearbook “Ruumipilt 2012†from the museum shop which gives a colourful overview of the exhibits and their background stories.
The itinerant exhibition is open in the Morgenstern Hall of the University of Tartu History Museum until December 1, 2013. Further information about the exhibition and the ESL annual awards 2012 is available on the webpageÂ
